Which terminal will my flight arrive at?
Since a 2023 reorganisation, EZE assigns buildings by function rather than by airline. If you are arriving from abroad you land at Terminal A; if your flight was domestic you land at Terminal C. What happens after you land at EZE?
For an international arrival the order is fixed: you walk from the gate to passport control, clear immigration, collect your bag at baggage claim, pass through customs, and come out into the public arrivals hall. Only after that do you meet drivers, exchange counters and the exits. A domestic arrival at Terminal C skips immigration entirely, so it usually clears in a few minutes. Keep your passport and any landing paperwork to hand until you are past customs, and do not accept help with your luggage from anyone who is not clearly airport staff.
How long does immigration take at EZE?
Plan for anything from fifteen minutes to an hour. A quiet evening arrival between 18:00 and midnight usually clears in 15 to 30 minutes; a mid-day landing runs 20 to 40; and the morning bank of long-haul flights, roughly 07:00 to 10:00, is the slow slot at 45 to 60 minutes or more. Where do I meet an arriving passenger?
Wait outside the arrivals exit, not inside the customs hall, which is passengers-only. International arrivals come out at Terminal A and domestic arrivals at Terminal C, so confirm which building the flight lands at before you set off. Because immigration times swing widely, agree a clear meeting point in advance rather than trying to time the exact minute.
What if my flight is delayed or diverted?
The board above reflects delays as soon as the airport publishes them, but for last-minute gate changes and cancellations your airline's own app tends to update faster. Diversions away from Ezeiza are rare and almost always weather-related, in which case your airline handles the rebooking. The one scheduled disruption worth knowing about falls between 25 October and 11 November 2026, when the main runway is shortened for rehabilitation and a handful of specific long-haul services are rerouted or suspended. What should I know about customs at Ezeiza?
After you collect your bags you pass through customs, and most visitors walk straight out through the green nothing-to-declare channel. You are required to declare cash of USD 10,000 or the equivalent or more. Argentina also restricts bringing in fresh food, plants, seeds and animal products, so leave those behind rather than risk a fine. Random bag scans happen but move quickly, and there is no arrival tax to pay on the way in. Keep your passport to hand until you are fully past the customs point and into the public arrivals hall.
What about onward domestic connections?
If you land internationally at Terminal A and connect to a domestic flight, the airport treats it as two separate journeys: you clear immigration and customs first, then walk to the Departures Terminal, check in again, and re-clear security for the onward leg. Leave a generous buffer, especially during the busy morning arrivals bank, and remember that a checked bag is usually not through-tagged, so you may need to collect it and drop it again.
