How many terminals does Ezeiza (EZE) have?

Ezeiza has three interconnected passenger terminals, and since a 2023 reorganisation that is fully in place in 2026, they are split by function rather than by airline: one handles every departure, one handles international arrivals, and one handles domestic arrivals. All three sit side by side and connect by covered pedestrian walkways, so moving between them is a walk of about ten minutes, not a shuttle ride. Knowing which one you need before you arrive saves the most common EZE mistake, heading to the wrong end of the complex with a bag and a deadline.

The short version: you leave from the new Departures Terminal whatever your destination, you land at Terminal A if you are arriving from abroad, and you land at Terminal C if your flight was domestic.

What is the new Departures Terminal?

The Departures Terminal (Terminal de Partidas) opened on 14 April 2023 on the site of the former Terminal B. It spans roughly 50,000 m² across four floors and was built to handle up to 30 million passengers a year, which makes it one of the largest and most modern airport buildings in South America. Every departure now leaves from here, domestic and international alike, under a single roof with a distinctive zeppelin-shaped interior.

For you, that means check-in, security and boarding for any outbound flight happen in one place. Arrive here regardless of airline or destination. Give yourself the usual three hours for an international departure and about two for a domestic one, because one consolidated hall pushes a lot of people through the same security lanes at peak times.

Where do international flights arrive? (Terminal A)

Terminal A is the oldest building at Ezeiza, opened in 2000, and today it does one job: international arrivals. It runs over two levels and holds everything you need on landing, from immigration and passport control to baggage claim, currency exchange, shops, food and arrivals lounges. Until the 2023 changes it handled both arrivals and departures; now it is arrivals only, which is why an international passenger passes through here on the way in but never on the way out.

Where do domestic flights arrive? (Terminal C)

Terminal C opened in July 2011 and, since the 2023 reorganisation, handles domestic arrivals. If your flight into Ezeiza came from within Argentina, this is where you collect your bag. It is a smaller, simpler building than Terminal A, and because there is no immigration step, domestic arrivals usually clear faster. Most travellers only meet Terminal C when a domestic leg connects to or from an international flight through the Departures Terminal.

What facilities are inside?

The three buildings cover the essentials between them, weighted toward what each one's passengers need. Terminal A, as the international arrivals hall, has passport control, baggage claim, currency exchange and ATMs, car-rental desks, cafes and arrivals lounges, so you can land, change money and organise a ride without stepping outside. The Departures Terminal, being the largest and newest, holds the check-in rows, security, duty-free, a wider range of restaurants and the boarding lounges. Terminal C, handling domestic arrivals, is deliberately lean: baggage claim, a few food and service points, and a quick route out to ground transport. Free Wi-Fi runs across all three, and wheelchair assistance and family facilities are available in each, though special assistance is best arranged with your airline before you fly.

How do I move between terminals at EZE?

On foot. The buildings are linked by covered walkways, and the longest stretch, Terminal A to Terminal C, takes about ten minutes at an unhurried pace, so there is no inter-terminal bus to wait for. The one connection worth planning is a domestic-to-international transfer: you arrive at Terminal C, walk to the Departures Terminal, and re-clear security for the onward flight, so leave a comfortable buffer between the two legs.

Where do I meet someone arriving at EZE?

Meet international arrivals outside Terminal A and domestic arrivals outside Terminal C, at the marked arrivals exits rather than inside the customs hall, which is passengers-only. As of 2026 the arrivals kerb at Terminal A is also where unofficial drivers tend to approach travellers, so anyone collecting a guest should agree a clear meeting point in advance. Ezeiza (EZE) or Aeroparque (AEP)?

One last check before you set off. Ezeiza (EZE) handles almost all international flights, while the smaller city airport, Aeroparque Jorge Newbery (AEP), handles most domestic routes and sits inside Buenos Aires itself.
